Registered as society act 1860 non-profit NGO on 20-08-2019. Its main objective is to provide contribution in the field of rural development, education, skill development program for unprivileged women. Promotion of all schemes of women, child development, child labour education, governance-development in the field of agriculture, environment, health and provide vocational training to the youth and to promote employment.

The work of the society was held at Jogiyabari, Forest Office Road, Mirzapur, this financial year.

We aim to achieve this through community Engagement, capacity building, advocacy and strategic partnership. Our mission is driven by a commitment to social justice, equity and the belief that positive change can be achieved through concerted efforts and an inclusive approach.

OBJECTIVE OF THE ORGANIZATION

  • Economic empowerment: To help women achieve economic independence by providing access to entrepreneurship platforms and vocational training.
  • Legal awareness: To help women become aware of their legal rights and provide legal aid.
  • Education: To provide access to quality education, establish schools in underserved areas.
  • Gender equality: Work to reduce inequality between women and men and shape global policy frameworks on gender equality.

OBJECTIVE OF GSB SEVA SAMITI

  • Educational opportunities: To provide educational opportunities and resources to individuals, especially those who do not have easy access to formal education.

SANITATION AND DO NOT USE POLYTHENE BAGS AWARENESS PROGRAM

The sanitation awareness program by the society is a comprehensive initiative planned to raise awareness and educate about proper sanitation and hygiene practices within the communities. The program focuses on providing knowledge about the importance of clean water, proper waste management, personal hygiene, and prevention. Through targeted education campaigns, community workshops, and practical demonstrations, the program aims to empower individuals and communities to adopt and maintain healthy hygiene habits for improved public health and well-being.

Our society also spreads awareness about the harmful effects of polythene bags. They are harmful to the environment and wildlife and can cause health issues for humans.

  • Pollution: Polythene bags are non-biodegradable and can remain in the environment for a long time. They can also release harmful chemicals during production.
  • Wildlife: Birds, fish, sea turtles, and marine mammals can mistake plastic bags for food, which can be toxic to them.
  • Soil: Polythene bags can alter the texture of soil and make it infertile.
  • Health: Polythene bags can enter the food chain and cause health issues for living organisms. They can remain in the digestive systems of organisms if consumed.
  • Green house: The raw materials used to make plastic are not renewable, and their extraction and production emit greenhouse gases.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR WOMEN

Our society offers a variety of programs for women, including long-term and short-term skill development training, as well as recognition of prior learning.
